The Sun: Solar Eclipse in Leo 2026
As we know, every summer (in the Northern Hemisphere, where I transmit from, obviously), the Sun journeys through the late degrees of Gemini, passes through Cancer and Leo, and enters the early degrees of Virgo. This summer, however, its path triggers the aforementioned Solar Eclipse in Leo – a phenomenon occurring during a New Moon (Sun-Moon conjunction) packed with a massive energetic payload. I’ll do a deep dive into the 2026 solar eclipse itself in mid-July; for now, let’s focus on the general “astrological weather” ahead. 
Mercury retrograde 2026 again!
Right now, Mercury is traveling through the final decan of Cancer. Near the end of the month, it will station retrograde. Mercury retrograde 2026 ends on July 24, when the planet stations direct at 16° Cancer. From there, Mercury will sprint through Cancer and enter Leo – by August 10, it will be moving through the first degrees of Leo, closely approaching an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, which tightens exactly on the day of the eclipse. A few days later, Mercury will form a conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer before shifting toward Virgo, reaching its opening degrees by the end of August.
Venus transits summer 2026
Venus has just shifted into Leo, where she will remain until July 10. Upon entering Virgo, she will briefly form a tight conjunction with the South Node. A few days before the solar eclipse in Leo, Venus will cross into her home sign of Libra, immediately forming an opposition to retrograde Neptune at 4° Aries. She will continue her journey through Libra for the remainder of the summer.
Mars transits summer 2026
Mars is currently transiting the final decan of Taurus but is rapidly closing in on Gemini. On July 4, Mars will form a exact conjunction with transiting Uranus in Gemini, triggering a wave of other major aspects: a trine to Pluto in Aquarius, a sextile to Neptune in Aries and Jupiter in Leo, and squares to the Nodal Axis. By August 5, sitting in the late degrees of Gemini, Mars will square off in an opposition with transiting Lilith in Sagittarius. On the day of the eclipse, Mars will hit 1° Cancer, squaring retrograde Neptune in Aries. By late August, it will reach mid-Cancer, squaring Saturn retrograde Aries.
Jupiter transits summer 2026
Jupiter is currently moving through the last decan of Cancer, holding a loose conjunction with Mercury until the end of June. On July 4, Jupiter enters Leo, immediately connecting via a sextile to the Mars-Uranus conjunction, followed by an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius around July 21. Just before the eclipse, Jupiter will briefly conjunct the Moon as it applies to the Leo New Moon. On the solar eclipse 2026 day itself, Jupiter sits in a loose conjunction with Mercury at the apex of a Great Kite configuration – opposing Pluto, while simultaneously sextiling Venus and Uranus (who are linked with Pluto in an Air-sign Great Trine).
Saturn retrograde Aries 2026
Saturn is currently transiting 13° Aries, slowing down as it approaches its retrograde station. On July 27, it will begin tracking backward from 14° Aries. By the day of the eclipse, Saturn retrograde Aries will lock into a supportive trine with Jupiter in Leo. It wraps up the month of August back at 13° Aries, maintaining that steady trine to Jupiter.
Uranus in Gemini 2026
Uranus in Gemini is a slow-moving giant. This summer, it covers a tiny window from 3° to 5° Gemini. This means it will spend almost the entire season in a trine to Pluto (at 5° Aquarius) and a sextile to Neptune, which is tracking backward through the early degrees of Aries. Neptune in Aries
Neptune in Aries currently sits at 4° of this sign, forming a harmonious sextile to Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus (and soon Mars…) in Gemini. On July 7, Neptune officially stations retrograde. On the day of the solar eclipse in Leo, it remains at 4° Aries holding those same sextiles to Pluto and Uranus, but with added tension: an opposition to Venus in Libra, a trine to Mercury in Leo, and a loose square to Mars in Cancer. It will maintain a tight, razor-sharp sextile with a fellow retrograde Pluto through the end of summer.
Pluto in Aquarius

Astrology forecast summer 2026: how to relate it to your chart?
To understand how the transits from my astrology forecast summer 2026 will unfold in your life, turn to your birth chart. Focus on planets around 20°, where the eclipse sends its strongest ripples. Then check 4–5°, the territory of Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune retrograde in Aries, and Uranus in Gemini. Mars, Venus, and Mercury will sweep across these degrees too, awakening whatever they touch. You can also look at 14°degree, where the Saturn stations.
